The EdTech Center has responded to the growing need to provide support for technology-related projects by collaborating with faculty teams to design, develop, assess and evaluate technology-related projects in support of:
- University courses
For online course management, the University supports Blackboard. Blackboard is a program that allows instructors to create, deliver, and manage web-based components for courses. The EdTech support for Blackboard includes advanced techniques and instruction in effective use of technology in the classroom.
The EdTech Center offers this service free of charge to all NU faculty. - Grant-funded research
The EdTech Center brings together the university resources needed to secure funding; plan, design and implement custom projects; and measure their effectiveness.
Fees for these services vary according to the time required for development. Factors include complexity and functionality. - University departments
The EdTech Center's Templates Program is available to Northeastern departments.
The EdTech Center offers this service free of charge to all NU departments. If however, custom development is required, charges may apply.
EdTech project managers help you assemble a team of experts from around the university to complete your project. EdTech staff members bring expertise in interface design, multimedia production, instructional design, web and graphic design and grant writing.
