General Studies
The General Studies Program provides you with the best Northeastern offers. We are a small program (approximately 180 students) in NU's very large community (more than 2.000 first-year students) in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts. Learn more »

Please note: There is a waiting list for this program. Before your project can be put in the queue, you will have to read and sign the Templates Program Agreement.

If the agreement is not adhered to, your project will be put back on the waiting list until which time resources allow your project to be reactivated. It is a good idea to read about project Roles and Responsibilities before beginning.

The EdTech Center has developed a program to help NU groups enhance their Web presence. The sites are what we're calling "customized templates." That means each site is based on an interface that has been previously designed, but can be easily customized to meet specific needs. They are then moved quickly through a streamlined development process using existing features and code. Each site includes Web-based content management.

We begin by working with each unit to determine goals, audience, outreach, content and maintenance. From that we determine which template to use. We'll then integrate the unit's content (text, images, etc.) into the template. Then it's off to the development shop. At least one person from each unit is trained in how to add and edit content. Then we go live.
