Macromedia Dreamweaver
In this workshop we will create a small website for our "client" the Smiley Face. We will do so as a means for exploring, and developing skills for utilizing the tools provided in Macromedia Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver assists us in writing HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other web-related code as well as managing our site, and transfering (FTP'ing) files to it. The web site we create will include the following:
- A Navigation Bar
- An embedded multimedia element (a video clip)
- A "rollover"
- and a Flash Menu
We will not only create these elements (except the video file, we'll just embed that) we will also explore how best to use Dreamweaver to manage them to reduce the need for redundant tasks. We'll further explore how Dreamweaver can manage your entire site all the way down to it's internal links. Last we'll look at how Dreamweaver can help you with FTP'ing (or moving files both to and from your website).
On average, this entire tutorial should take no more than 3 hours to complete.
Users should have a familiarity with HTML code, however it is not required to successfully complete this tutorial.
