Add Action Buttons

Action buttons are another form of hyperlink that can be used to create non-linear navigation within a PowerPoint presentation.

To add Action Buttons:
  1. In the Insert menu, choose Picture, then AutoShapes. The AutoShapes toolbar appears.
  2. Click on the Action Buttons icon.
  3. Select an Action Button format from the choices that appear.

  4. Click and drag on the slide to draw the button. The Action Settings dialog box appears to set options for the button.
  5. Select the slide you want to link to when the button is clicked.
  6. Click OK.
You can also create an action button to play a sound when it is clicked.

Try it! Create a "menu slide" by listing the titles of three other slides in bullets. Insert an action button next to each and link it to the appropriate slide.
