You can choose to apply an animation effect to:

You can also create motion paths for text and objects to follow.

To apply animation to text or an object:
  1. From the Slide Show menu, select Custom Animation.

The Custom Animation task pane appears on the right.

  2. Highlight the text you want to animate, or click on an object to select it. The Add Effect drop-down menu becomes active.
  3. Click on the Add Effect drop-down menu, and choose Entrance, Emphasis, or Exit.
  4. Select an effect.
  5. Click Play beneath the effects list to preview it.

As you apply effects to objects on a slide, a numbered list of the effects is created in the task pane.

To change the order of the effects:
  1. Click and drag an effect to another position.

To remove an effect:
  1. Select the effect in the list.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow that appears.
  3. Select Remove.

Try it! Create a slide with several text bullets and experiment with different animation options. Insert a piece of clip art, and animate it using a motion path.
