Exercises
The Setup (day one, and the rest of your life...)
Everyone has a slighly different method when it comes to file management, and that's perfectly acceptable, however when it comes to web stuff there are a few things that I've found really help me out. So check out these tips on how to set up your directory structure and see if they work for you. (Oh, and even if they don't we'll be refering to them in this class, so please be sure to take a look!)
Time to Play! (day one)
First, lets take a few minutes just to look at the toolbox. Of course we'll need an image to play with so let's get one from here (oh, you'll need a username and password to get in though [and you can only get those in class -- sorry!]).
Head Shot
Using the EdTech Center's digital camera we'll take pictures of ourselves and edit them with Photoshop to give you a great headshot for your website!
A Button(day two)
It's time to make a button, that looks good! (Well actually this one won't but after you're done with this exercise the rest of your buttons will!) This button will be complete with a drop shadow and transparency.
Frames for an Animation or a Rollover(day two)
You knew those gif animations and rollovers were extra work, right? Of course you did... but if you build your Photoshop files properly, you can minimize that extra work! We'll learn how in this exercise.
