According to Wikipedia, if you Googled podcasts last September, you�d get 24 results. Googling podcasts today yields 62.5 million. So, just what is a podcast? Come to the EdTech Tech Talk and find out from web services manager and multimedia designer Seth Merriam.
The word podcast combines iPod and broadcast and got its start when individuals wanted to self-publish their own "radio shows." What has resulted are thousands of shows ranging politics to music to relationships to science - just about any topic you can think of is probably the subject of a podcast. If you're thinking of making your own podcast or would just like to learn more about educational possibilities for this new medium, come to the EdTech Talk. Seating is limited.
