Northeastern University's Second Life Island Launched
« Back to list
The Educational Technology Center and Marketing & Communications have completed Phase One of our presence in Second Life with a re-creation of the Krentzman Quadrangle.
Second Life is a online 3d immersive experience used by many businesses and educational institutions for meetings, demonstrations, conferences, research, collaboration and an array of other creative endeavors. You can visit the Quad on Northeastern’s new island in Second Life via the link listed below. In the Quad you will find links to information about admissions, student life, and other resources, as well a special gift for all visitors.
Phase one also includes an amphitheater for lectures and presentations and a number of smaller meeting spaces for faculty to use with classes or for office hours. Finally, in anticipation of projects faculty might like to build, we have set aside some open space. Please contact Seth Merriam (s.merriam@neu.edu) for more information or to discuss ideas for projects.
