Learning Communities
A learning community is small cohort of students who enroll in a cluster of two or more courses. Because the courses are thematically linked, students have the opportunity to work with two or more faculty members to gain a deeper and more meaningful understanding of the material.

Language Instruction Support
EdTech worked with the Library Media Center to develop flash based method of delivering stream audio files to students enrolled in language courses at NU. -
Sacred Rivers
This site provides information about former provost and current law professor Dr. David Hall's book and provides an online purchase option. The site also includes discussion boards, information on book signing events, Dr. Hall's research, and excerpts from the book. -
Journalism - Digital Story Telling
Liz Matson's Online Journalism class explores, among other things, different ways a story can be published online. Image and audio production were part of the course; building from there EdTech produce a web based tool to allows her students to configure an XML and Flash based digital story telling slideshow.

Planet Biology
An EdTech Center team worked with Professor Dan Schierer to develop a web site to support a new course, 'Biology & Society'. The site includes a content management system that allows Professor Scheirer to add and manage the display of content in multiple areas of the site. The site works in conjunction with a Blackboard site, used for testing and digital homework submission features. -
Urban Teaching Connection
Provides pre-service and novice teachers support to move from beginning to accomplished practice. Students, teachers, A&S faculty, and researchers form a community dedicated to enhancing students' learning and increasing retention among urban teachers. -
Early Intervention Hybrid
An EdTech Center instructional designer worked with three faculty members over the course of a year to redesign this five-course graduate certificate program to be presented 75% online. The project resulted in a portal web site for the program and five Blackboard courses. -
European Union (Sociology ETAC)
This project involved the planning, design and development of ten undergraduate web-based tutorials on the European Union (EU). In line with Northeastern University's goal to promote international education and to enhance students' use of new technologies, these tutorials provide an interdisciplinary introduction to the EU. -
Physical Therapy Student Portfolios
The portfolio project allows students enrolled in Northeastern's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program to build a reflective portfolio that showcases their work and personal development over the six and a half year program. Students upload artifacts during each year of their program that demonstrate the integration of both academic and experiential learning. -
Biocapstone Student Portfolios
An early stage of the biocapstone project, a web based content management tool was created which allowed students to upload artifacts. This included options for PDFs, images, audio, and video files. -
Chalk Talk with Jonas Chalk
Jonas Chalk has been offering advice on university teaching and learning in his Chalk Talk column since 2001. More than 100 columns on a wide range of topics are now available in a searchable database on this site. -
Numb3rs Blog
A blog where a professor from Northeastern University's Math department, Mark Bridger, posts mathematical comments weekly on the television show 'Numb3rs'.

Develop course and website for ED1101, an introductory education course that has a community service component. -
TTF - Communications
Goal was to coordinate and consolidate teaching objectives, forms of assessment, and learning experience in multiple sections of first year courses. EdTech support included design and development of both department and course websites, and Blackboard course site organization.
