Web Writing Course
The EdTech Center teamed up with the Office of Marketing and Communications to offer a new Web Writing Course. Offered both as an interactive, 3-hour workshop in the EdTech Center and online on Blackboard, Effective Writing for the Web is designed to help Web writers (sometimes called 'content contributors') write clear, inviting content.

Library Archives
The Archives and Special Collections Department is part of the Northeastern University Libraries. Its goal is to document the teaching, research, community service, and administrative functions of the University and to document student life. This goal is accomplished by collecting the historically significant records of the University. -
Annals of Environmental Science eJournal
The AES ejournal aims to make high quality, peer-reviewed environmental research available to anyone, anywhere at no charge.
Publication of high quality research is facilitated by peer-review and editorial systems that certify to the extent possible that high standards have been met. -
Visual Arts - Student Portfolio Pilot
Provides an effective, yet very simply method for Visual Arts Students to create and maintain a web based portfolio. Leveraging the myFiles system and its ability to serve material on the web, students can use a flash based tool to build and display their portfolio materials -- including images and video.

Northeastern E-Portfolio Project
The EdTech Center created a Web site to compile information on e-portfolio projects that have been implemented or are in development at Northeastern.
E-portfolio initiatives are underway in Physical Therapy, Biology, Computer & Information Science and the College of Business. -
Faculty Mentoring
Sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences, the Faculty Mentor Program gives release time and equipment to faculty members who propose innovative ways of using technology in teaching. EdTech Center staff offer consultation and support to this effort and are assisting faculty members in developing portfolio Web pages about their experiences. -
Faculty Senate Website
The Faculty Senate represents the Teaching Faculty of the University. This Web site provides information about the senate's mission, a downloadable copy of the Faculty Handbook, and minutes from each Faculty Senate meeting.

International Initiatives
An evolving resource developed as a tool for the Northeastern University community to access resources, information and ideas that encourage and support international engagement. Includes a discussion forum, listserv, internal and external resources and a searchable database. -
Anatomy & Physiology
An EdTech Center instructional designer worked with three Biology faculty over three quarters to establish common goals and objectives for all sections of this large-enrollment gateway course. The EdTech Center then designed a portal web site providing common resources for all students. A template Blackboard site was developed that could be copied and enhanced by individual instructors.
