The EdTech Center provides support for internally-funded and externally-funded private and public grants. Teaching/Advising
- Blackboard Workshops and Support
Northeastern's course management system allows instructors to create, deliver, and manage web-based components for courses. It can be used to add online elements to a traditional course, or to develop completely online courses.Information Services Customer Services (ISCS) offers a hands-on Introduction to Blackboard workshop. You may register by calling 617-373-5858 or online at www.help.neu.edu.
Once you've taken the Introduction to Blackboard workshop, you may take more advanced workshops at the EdTech Center. See our workshops section for a listing of all EdTech workshops. The EdTech Center has also dedicated a section of their website to information for helping you plan, build, and manage a Blackboard course.
Academic Technology Services maintains a blog where Blackboard Tips for Faculty are posted monthly.
- The Center for Effective University Teaching
Provides resources for Northeastern faculty and Teaching Assistants including the Chalk Talk column for teachers, publications, TA Tips and information on course evaluation services. - Campus Media Services
Campus Media Services provides media equipment, materials from the Media Center's collection, and technical support both for classroom instructional activities and University-related functions. CMS staff also provides training in media equipment operation and advice on selection of media equipment. - Digital Media Services
The Media Production Lab is a self-help facility designed to provide the University community with a wide range of graphic and photographic equipment and materials to create a variety of presentation media at minimum cost. - Disability Resource Center

Comprehensive information on creating online syllabi. Was developed in response to the Faculty Senate's approval of the Student Government Association's request that all courses have an online syllabus. - THE OWL: Northeastern's On-Line/Off-Line Writing Lab
Northeastern's OnLine/OffLine Writing Lab (also known as the NU OWL) can help you with any level of writing from 1st year English to written assignments in your major. Tutors are experienced graduate students and teachers of writing who will work with you on the writing process - conceptualizing, planning, researching, organizing, drafting, revising, and tips for editing. - Peer Tutoring Center
Peer Tutoring teams academically strong students with students who are having trouble mastering their coursework. Tutors can help you with a broad range of courses, depending upon student demand and tutor availability.
