Welcome to the post-conference blog!

Thank you for another successful Teaching with Technology Day. We want to continue the conversations we started at Teaching with Technology Day 2009 and would love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas!

We have created this blog as a way to allow you and others to share ideas about what worked well, what you would like to see improved, and your ideas for future workshops, events and speakers. This also gives you the opportunity, if you have not already done so, to experience Web 2.0 collaborative technology!

We have organized the site by creating pages for each TWT2009 presentation. Each page includes an area for you to post comments or reactions to comments from your colleagues. We have also included audio podcasts and pictures from the event. Click on the links to the right to access the presentation pages.

And if you have not already done so, please do not forget to complete our online evaluation at http://www.edtech.neu.edu/twt/survey

Thank you for taking the time to ‘blog’ with us! We look forward to reading your comments which will help guide us in planning future successful events.

Hope to see you again at our next event!

I have been looking at collaborative learning for some time now. I would appreciate comments on how one learns in a networked world.

Ning.com - a great tool! After the session, actually later that same night, I created a ning.com web site to connect a group of NU Alumni that are participating in a Job Search Strategy Workshop Series. I’ve never been all that great with technology, but in about an hour I had this site up and running. I had never even heard of ning before, so thank you!! It’s a fantastic tool because I can post job search tips in a blog, notes, videos, etc. And the alums can add in their feedback. If anyone wants to know more, I’m happy to share. If you want to see the site, you can at nujobsearchgroup.ning.com. Best, Sabrina (s.woods@neu.edu).

Wiki: interactive media resources replacing Power Point will collaborative tools.
Here is a re-tweet of some tools that I think will be useful for collaborative learning and presentations.
Re-treeted from Howard Rhiengolds multi-media classroom wiki
    http://socialmediaclassroom.com/vircom09/wiki/interactive-media-resources
Collaborative multimedia presentations enable small groups like teaching teams to work together to:

present knowledge in different and (if you do it right) compelling ways

engage active participation by the entire class instead of broadcasting to it like a passive audience
